Rice for Dinner! Again. . . 😅

It has come to my attention that at the end of quarantine, I will have had rice-based meals for lunch & dinner for 29 days with one notable noodle exception. 😂 🍚 That means 57 meals with rice in a row – I may or may not turn into a rice ball myself by the end 😂 😂

Quarantine Dinner!

Chicken Hearts? 🤔 Haven’t had this dish before 😂 On my third week of mandatory quarantine in China! I’ll be free by April 1!

What’s Your Taste?

#Chinese c-store treats include corn on the cob and tea soaked duck eggs. 😃 It’s funny to me how concepts of what constitutes a ‘treat’ changes culture to culture.

WHAT’S YOUR GO TO C-STORE SNACK?

Pineapple Pork!

One of my favorite #Chinese meals – #sweetandsourpork with pineapple 🍴❤😮 So delicious! And really creative setting too! .
.

Mashed Taters – China Style!

This was a literal MOUNTAIN of mashed potatos 😮😜🍽️ WOW!

Real Chinese Takeout!

When ordering #realchinese takeout, it doesn’t come in the boxes – It comes in handy microwave safe tupperware for easy reheating 😃🍴 This is favorite meal for me – hot pot, spicy noodles with veggies & meat (hot dogs are the go-to here 😂) It’s delicious!!

Donkey Slurry?!? #FunnyTranslations

Donkey Hide Gelatin Slurry – who’s up for it?!?😁😂😱

Chicken Feet!

My life is strange. I now live in a country where #chicken feet are A) sold in giant piles and B) more valuable than all the other chicken parts. . . . Chicken feet dishes are really popular in #China but I still can’t go there. I finally really like fried pig ears, but I can’t get into the whole feet thing. 😱🐔🍗😝
