Something I love about Chinese airports and train stations is the massage chairs. Usually costs between 10rmb to 15rmb ($1.50 – $2.00) for 15 to 30 minutes. These are $1.50 for 20 minutes. Makes for a lively, doable treat when you have a 4 hour layover and 48hours of no sleep!

#cooking in #China 😄 When you live in a #itsybitsy apartment with no counter space and definitely nooven, you have to do a little engineering for #baking #chocolatechipcookies 😂  So instead we use an old #target game board and a table oven. My life is so much fun!

Haha! 😂 I Love my #huawei Chinese phone. It has the best #English descriptions for things sometimes. Apparently our #Weather is ‘dreary and very unhealthy’ – you know, life just sucks sometimes 😜 I just got a Warning from the phone for Tuesday when it’ll get down to 21degrees!!! – so cold they asked me to check my ‘mouth muffler, ear mufflers, and gloves. 😂 It’s like Having a second mom. 😝

I ❤ KTV and #music!! It’s the Chinese name for #Karaoke .  My students and I like to Visit this one because It’s cheaper during the day.  Usually in China, you can go during the day for a lot less than at night. Sometimes you can get a free room as long as you buy a certain amount of snacks 😄 It’s a great way for the students to practice their #esl 😃 This one just updated their pictures outside!

​I’ve been sick today so I was playing on Taobao and found these adorable/hilarious dollhouse items. If You’ve ever lived in China you’d know how accurate these images are 😂 Down to the cheap Chinese prngle alternatives (they look exactly like that!), cooke tins, and Green tea Oreo knockoffs 😄. I’ve been Coke Zero free for more than a month, but those bottles are so funny.  And the fanta soda.  😂

Happy Lantern Festival!  Tonight is the night (15 days after #ChineseNewYear ) when the Chinese light paper lanterns and send them up to the sky.  
My picture wasn’t very good 😭 I’ll post a better one later. But the #moon sure was pretty! Here in Zhengzhou, we have the highest smog records for the country, so the moon is a rare night.  Today was perfect for the festival! Clear skies, brisk air, and a good wind. 😄

The New Hotel Security System

Haha!😜 Visited a 5⭐ hotel this weekend and found that the bathroom was entirely see-through.   Embarassing, no?!?  Asked my students why and got this lovely response ‘Many hotels in China do this. It’s very common.  Because sometimes the men, they come with a strange woman. Or two. Or different ones. And when they go to the bathroom, all their money is taken.  So this way they can see and be safe.’ 😒 😂 That’s hilarious.  A five star hotel arranges its bathroom around keeping rich men safe from their ‘women’.  Sad.  Very, very sad.   #lifeinchina #china #travel #humor #abroad, #whataworld
